These photographs show how my clothing in Film as Fabric changed from 2013 - 2016
In 2016 I made a polka dot dress, which has informed the sequence of actions I carry out in Film as Fabric.
In 2016 I began wearing a hand knitted cardigan made by my mum as a materialisation of the history of textile practice in my family.
2014 - 2015 I experimented wearing patterned garments that resonate with the projected moving images of fabric in the performance
For a performance with The Aleph at the Museum of Science and Industry in 2015 I wore a striped tabard after seeing photographs of textile workers wearing tabards, aprons and 'pinnies' over their clothes in a book called Textile Voices: A Century of Mill Life by Tim Smith
In earlier iterations of Film as Fabric, from 2013 - 2014 I wore dark clothes to try to blend into the shadows. I then began wearing close fitting garments, aware that my body was casting shadows.
